Crash!!!! Need simmons Ski help

So I went ripping up a climb that I had no idea what was on the back side. Fortunately it was mostly air on the back with the exception of a tree that so greatfully stopped me from plummiting to my certain demise.

Any way. After the jarring stoppage it looked like my right ski stopped me. Its a simmons gen 1 or 2 and it was angled straight up at the tree. Not bend but angled. When I got home I realized that the rubber pad that the control arm sits on was pushed forward and out. This broke both brass washers, tore the rubber, and bend the through bolt.

Can you tell me where to order replacements?

It also looks like the machined aluminum piece that connects the ski to the a-arm is canted out a little at the bottom. Hopefully its the trailer making it look that way.

Thanks for the help.

I can't believe anyone would be dumb enough to do this, much less post about it.

I hope we don't end up reading about you being hauled off of the hill in a bag some day.

simmons ski damage

These are tough ski's. I popped my rubber bases before. Slip it back into place and use it again. If your mount is bent, use some lite tapping with a hammer till your happy. Now the best part, if the ski is warped, put it in a bathtub full of hot tap water. The ski is made to bend back into shape with your hands.

Good luck & ride hard.

You can buy a new mounting kit for about 60 bucks that will include all the hardware you need. You will need to buy the rubber stopper from dealer.

Anybody whos sells simmons should be able to get the kit.

Thanks for the help. Ill admit it was a stupid move but I was asking for help not a lecture but thanks anyway dad! I always like to hear the story behind the issue thats why I posted it.

To those that posted help, arent all the parts that go through the ski arm stock stock (spacers, sleeve, bolt, nut, cushon washers)? As I look at a BRP schematic the parts all look the same. The ski is in fine shape. The ski arm gouged a hole in the rubber pad. It looks like it will work for a while. However, I have a trip to southern oregon planned and I cant get the BRP parts for over a week. I also dont have a simmons dealer in the central oregon area. I know its just a standard metric bolt (10mm) but I cant find the "cushon" washers that go on both sides of the ski arms any where. They are like 5/8's or 3\4's.

Can someone tell me where to buy the mounting kit online or give me a number to call so they can ship me one in a hurry.

Also, I cant see any bent parts but it looks as if the ski arm in question is canted out at the bottom and back a bit.

Should I just ride it or do some more replacements.

Thanks

thanks
