Looking to confirm issue with truing crankshaft. 15-17 Service manual shows this below, but it seems incorrect and backwards to me. I have PTO end high spot with the conrod at 12 o'clock.
I would need to squeeze the lobes together to lower the high spot ?! Service manual reads to spread the crank. Any experienced guys on here to chime in ? Thanks

Just found my old 11-12 service manual, and shows to squeeze lobes. Must be an error in the 15-17 manual.

I actually just tried spreading the lobes with a bolt/nut. Slowly going and have got .006 down to .0035.
15-17 Manual must be incorrect, as you obviously need to spread the lobes apart, when the conrod is in the bottom position to lower your highest runout measurement.

Did you use the procedure as described in the service manual?
15-17 Manual is backwards regarding the spread/squeeze of the lobes w/ conrod at 12 and 6 o'clock. Have an 11-12 manual and it is correct. Variation is below, 15-17 first pic, and 11-12 second pictured.

Finally happy with fiddling with this crank. Ended up chopping up my old case to make a proper stand.
Got the PTO to 0.0005" and MAG is the same. Very end of the crank snub is around 0.001 - 0.0015 but most likely due from pitting.
