Crankcase repair

Has anybody tried to repair a minor crack in a crankcase and succeed? Just wondering because, as I was cleaning my lower case I noticed a crack that is on the PTO side below the rod area? Do I need to get new cases or can it be repaired? Thanks bowman

If there has been enough stress on that case to cause a fatigue fracture you can bet that other areas aren't to far behind.
