Cr500 skid plate

I am only using my bike for winter should I even get a skid plate for it? It seems like there are only aluminum ones which will be an ice magnet I think?

I'm doing the same thing with my CR500, I will likely just fab one up out of puck board. I don't think it will hurt to have something down there if only to deflect some of the snow off the motor.

Aluminum is better than nothing , but making a plastic type one is best . Keep that case warm
