I am kicking around the idea of installing a Cr tunnel this summer....anyone have some pictures and tips on doing a install....What kind of rivets does Cr use???

Thanks in advance

I have installed a few of Chad's tunnels and i have to say, they are one of the best fitting tunnels I have installed. He provides a couple predrilled rivet holes to help you square it up and everything lines up great. He can supply you with some awsome stainless steel Aircraft style rivets. they require an air riveter( unless you have very strong hands ) and they hold good. Better than stock. You shouldn't be dissapointed if you go with his tunnel

I have a Air riveter(3/16).....With the rear mount turbo ...that shroud covering the exhaust pipe in the middle of the tunnel get installed into the cr tunnel? As for lining up the suspension mounts just measure references points off the bulkhead? Does the tunnel come with different drop brackets? The cooler easy to plumb in? Thanks man

I believe that you have to order the brakets for the suspension but every thing will fit properly.They sure are a nice looking tunnel:beer;

Materials Warning!!!!

Do not install Stainless Steel rivets into aluminum bulkheads/tunnels. The combination of the 2 materials creates very bad galvanic corrosion. When moisture/salt get into the joint, you create a perfect battery effect and your rivets will eat at the aluminum. I am a Materials Engineer working for the Lazy-B, and corrosion is my specialty. We are currently working with our design groups trying to prevent corrosion issues on the 787, and aluminum/stainless steel is Tabooooooo!

Has anyone had problems using SS rivets on your cr tunnel install?...Or what kind of rivets do most people use?..
thanks

when i put my VE bondock tunnel on i used the aircraft aluminum rivets that VE supplied withthe tunnel you would need a air hammer and a dolly to install but they last for ever and look cool to
