I have an 800 h.o. with a rktek head and just put on the CPI Single pipe. Was wondering if anybody else was running this combo and if so what is you jetting at?I am having some troubles at the moment. Thanks for any advice.

Ya,

I was running 440 mains with the stock pipe and a thing can. With the Cpi single and a BMP can I am running 450 mains with the needle shimmed .020.
My dpm is not hooked up and I am running pretty good until I get to about 4,500 feet then I am not getting crap for power in my top end at higher elevations.I mean at 6,500 feet my motor is hardly even getting warm after a good hard pull, I think I need to drop the 440 mains back in and try that.I am no whiz by any means when it comes to carbs just going off my buddies suggestions.I wish I would have just put the SLP head on cause it seams I am the only guy around here running the rktek head as it seems to be the missing link for info.

I ran the rkt head, cpi pipe ,and thing can between 6000 and 9000 feet,on stock bottom end ,i had to run 440s and that was on the edge of lean.Ive never messed with the bmp can so it could be doin something diffrent ,however i doo know that cpi pipe likes the gas,i could run 410 jets without burning it up it just wouldnt make any power.it was real happy with 440's.Also this was after i wrapped the first foot of the pipe with heat wrap.As far as slp head doin a comparison on the same sled i would just run stock no diffrence imho.just something to ponder.

I put in some 440's the other day,ran between 3000-6000 at about 25 degrees outside and did some plug checks.Plugs were nice and marshmallow brown but think I am gonna try wrapping the pipe like you did and see how that works out. Thanks a bunch.

If you want the full benefit of that head or anything else that kelsey designed, run the stock pipe and stock can. or a super q or ultra q can. Kelsey is not a fan of any other pipe or can combos. Check out 2strokeheads.com and see why. He knows his kit better than anyone else though.
