cover feedback

Looking at cover for axys...sled does get trailered on open trailer at highway speeds. looking at the polaris premium cover but notice they have a 3/4 premium cover that covers to the back of seat vs complete tunnel. on pro cover that covered whole tunnel was always tough to get the tail end tight and once they loosen they tear. Look like the 3/4 may hug the sled/seat area a little better but obviously you lose covering the tail end of tunnel. anyone use the 3/4 for trailering? any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Couple seasons on the Polaris premium (?) heavy canvas full length covers. Tons of miles in all kinds of crap weather, hold up fantastic.

Never had an issue with fitment over the back of the tunnel? I get the front end fitting nicely, make sure all the hooks are free and not tangled in the footboard cutouts, put the bumper holes in each hand, and let myself of the back of the trailer. They just fall into place.

Make sure all straps are snugged up tight, fuel door zipper closed, and give er. Probably 8,000 - 10,000 miles or more of harsh BC winters (snow/slush/salt/potassium crap) and in great shape. Just hit them with a hose at the car wash about 2 miles from the house on the way by, look like new still.

Thinking back on my pro full length cover, i had a few non stock items on the sled which made the cover not quite fit as well as it should, thinking this was most of the issues i had.

I'm not sure what the difference in price is, but I am someone who also trailers in MN and why not get the cover that covers the entire sled? With all the salt and brine on the roads, its just corrosion waiting to happen! I'm actually using the cover off my pro ride SBA to cover my new axys SBA. This will be the 3rd sled I've used it for and there are no tears, etc. The fitment isn't perfect on the front end but I always put a flannel sheet on the hood before I cover it to help against the rubbing marks on the paint...The full cover also helps as a dust cover while storing in the summer months.

Skinz stretch cover is the best I have ever used. Apparently they quit making then due to cost of the material. If you can find one they work great.

my buddy got the 3/4 cover last year. not only did it not cover the whole tunnel, it also tore with less than a few hundred miles on it. it tore at one of the rear tie down straps.
i went with the full length poly.

If you use the Polaris cover, make a habit of tucking the hooks into the straps when you remove the cover. There are small sewn gaps where the strap is attached to the bottom of the cover to slide the hook into so they don't grab on everything when removing and installing the cover.

Less aggravating as well.

My 3/4 tore in the first couple hundred miles last year. The dealership replaced it with a full cover but I haven't used it yet

Storing the hooks is way less aggravating but you have to keep this cover tight. Two rides in this year and the cover rubbed my coat of black off a spot on my rear running boards ?
