Couple questions 'for snow flies.

Hi, im 15 years old, from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I have a 1999 Polaris RMK 600. I already have a couple of upgrades on the sled. Sno-Stuff rumble pack exhaust can, powermadd risers and cable extensions. I also have a 141" track to put on instead of the stock 136". I also have fox shox for the front. But i bought an edge gas tank knowing it would fit, cause it will, and i have intentions towards a seat as well. But as i have been looking i like the fusion seat more and more each day. but question is:
-Will the Fusion seat fit on my sled with the edge tank?
-What does an SLP "boost bottle" do?
-Since running the 141" with 2" paddle, what gearing should i run?
-Helix numbers for the secondary, and what spring?
-Primary clutch wieghts, and which spring should i go with?
-Finally, how do these machines perform overall? they seem to be rather rare.

Any responses will be greatly appreciated and notes will be taken
Thanks for reading, have a great day :)

boost bottles are suposed to keep the pressur eint he carbs even so that they slide even but they really dont do anything for power an are usless if you have the carbs set. I'm interested in the seat idea too i raised my bars3 inches an put the dragon protapers on but the seats too low. also could a boss seat work if a 2000 seat was installed. is the tunnel much different ? thanks clayton. sorry for poachin your thread

Well its not so much the tunnel that makes the difference, i mean im sure youd have to drill some holes for mounts abouve the track, but the major problem is, is will it fit the tank you have currently. and for the poaching. no deal, haha thanks for the reply!

I went from a 136X2' to a 151X2' and went from stock 20/39 to 20/42 and it seems to work good without touching the clutching. Wanted 18/42 but I couldn't find a chain to work with it.

You would be just fine with stock clutching and gearing as you are just adding 5 inches of track (not that much really). Call up a dealer to ask about the way Polaris had it set from the factory (pretty low gearing to start with and nice for playing around in the trees-hence no big deal to switch to the longer track).

Not sure about the seat switch exactly, but my memory says that someone posted their fabricated version of the IQ to EDGE seat project on here at some point...search for it. It looked pretty nice. As noted above, the hardest part to overcome is the tank. I have also seen some interesting self-fabricated seats that used the stock mounting set-up and just changed the inner foam with a re-stapled seat cover. A cheap option to start with for sure.

The big block 600 RMK you have is a solid runner. Nothing fancy, but solid. The only thing you might want to do as a precaution is change the water pump belt (the one true weak point shared by all the domestic big block Polaris sleds). At least carry a spare because it is getting to that age...

Have fun with the sled!

yep at sea level it will do fine with stock gears the seat wont just go rite on but there is a guy that did an iq seat by modifying the front of the edge seat and the back of the iq seat together ...

Boost bottle will clean up the bottom end and midrange, equalize the airflow. Fusion seat won't work, need the tank as well.
