Wow what at great place to stay! 14 of us spent the 3 nights with Jack and Pam at the ranch. Food was great, the location is right on the trails with plenty of parking. Price was very reasonable. Riding area is the western flattops with lots of open meadows and aspen tree groves. There are also some steep ravines to get stuck in for a few hours! www.coulterlake.com

sweet I really like riding the tops at least a few times a year. Use to have a good friend with a huge house right in Eagle. Sure going to miss those free accomodations!
Do you take all of the shortcuts thru the switch backs on Coffee Pot? There is one sticky run that can cut off 3-4 miles

My other brother lives in Eagle, so we get to stay for free -- he's got lotsa beds + a couple air mattresses.
Not much night life in Eagle, but we usually just wrench on the sled if necessary in the garage, then sit out there and drink beer and b.s. and watch Skin-a-max.
I'll probably bring up 10-12 cases...

Plus, Katie (one of the waitresses) is really hot! Too bad she's only about 20 years old. Mary and Petra (two bartenders at the Brush Creek) aren't too bad to look at either.
We'll only be there during the week, though.

The really long shot cut is on private land and the new owner has posted signs and has complained to the DOW and FS about sledders trespassing. Just an FYI.

Oh yeah -- forgot aobut that. I haven't ridden up there this year, but I drove my truck up there over Thanksgiving. Frickin' "No trespassing" signs all over the place!
I always stay to the southwest of that fenceline anyway
Why do these guys care if someone crosses over the farthest corner of their property to get to the top of the mountain? It's over snow and no property damage is incurred? Not sure how you can damage wildareas such as that anyway?

Glad to hear the new owners have made the big effort to bring Coulter back to the way it was 5-6 years ago. At that time they had a really great buffet, and packed box lunches. Do they have cell service there now?
