Anyone ridin cottonwood yet? I want to rip next weekend on Saturday (12/10) otherwise I won't be able to go again until the second week in January and I don't think I can wait that long.

If not cottonwood where would be the best place to get some early season miles on? I know the snow is not ideal at this point but like I said I don't think I can wait another month, I got the itch and it wasn't from my friday night :becky:

Thanks,
David

Rode today, over three feet in some spots if you know where to go. Today's tally:

2012 M1100 - Upper and lower A-arm's
2012 M8- Ripped ski
2012 M8- Lower A-arm
08 Ski Doo something...its yellow and blue. Bent shock, upper a arm and lower. Ripped ski.
2011 M8 Fried belt

So, 3 ft of fresh powder covering 2 1/2 ft boulders and stumps. And we were being careful.......

sounds like my luck:face-icon-small-win what did you claim.... the ski or the arm??:second:

We were arriving as you left, we talked with some of your group. We rode up the trail from the outhouse up and found a huge tree across the trail. Not fun to get around as many other trees fell there also. Got to the little bridge just before the road and it broke dropping girfriend and Dragon in the stream :biggrin1:

Go it out and went up tp the bowl but it was windblown in so bad it was no fun. Def need more snow before trying it again.

Hopefully they got more on the west side of the divide,
planning on driving out after Christmas, but at 1500 miles one way, may have to wait for more snow.

For perspective: I drove up and into the Irwin Townsite yesterday. Most cars are now parked at the Y, some are still in the townsite. Worst snow in 20+ yrs.

;-)

I guess that means no to more snow west of the divide, maybe I should just wait till your Presidents day ride for my 1st trip

I wouldn't be in any rush this year.
We snowshoed to about 11,500 yesterday and there was 1.5' - 2' on the ground in the woods. Nice thing was the trees & stumps were easily seen - all of them.
