Cottonwood pass snow report

I heard that Burandt was up there last weekend and there was a couple feet up in the bowl, lots of big rocks up there I would stay on the road.

Thanks I am aware of the A arm killing rocks. I normally don't ride the area until later in the year, but I had to change some major parts on my sled ad would like t start tuning them in. Crested butt and aspen both received 20" last week so I thought the road might be ride able.

I have not had a chance to get up there to look yet but heading up Cottonwood Pass tomorrow. Been snowing all day so far in BV and mountains have received a decent amount. I can update tomorrow on how conditions are.

You'd be better served going to Wolf Creek instead. They've gotten 22" th last two days. I was up there today-it was good, it will be much better by tomorrow. It was snowing hard when I left.

Just rode cottonwood pass area today. Mostly stayed on the trail being first run out this season. Easy going up to the pass. Road is still plowed up to the Denny Creek Trailhead. About a foot fresh this morning and no bare spots. Did not attempt dropping down toward Taylor Park today, there are tracks down that way where people have but some careful route choosing might be necessary. There were several other groups getting off trail. Went about 3/4 of the trail up to Ptarmigan Lake where breaking trail would have been necessary and it was a little late so didn't want to risk getting stuck or breaking anything. Looks fairly easy going with no issues up to tree line any way maybe even to the lake.

Overall good ride for locals. At this point I would not waste my time driving from Denver just not enough open. A little more snow on Taylor Park side would be great. That was my experience were several others up there lets see if anyone else has an opinion.
