corona virus

LE has common sense? I’ve read some ridiculous stuff on here but you win, hands down.

Oh you got me captain! [emoji2359]
Do you even sled or do the star trek captain crew just come on here to spew covid crap.

I really enjoy being oxygen deprived while wearing a mask.

Well if you can’t breathe thru a simple cloth mask then I sure can’t imagine you enjoying wearing a full face helmet, goggles and even a balaclava when it’s cold. I mean, who could even handle something so terrible...

I guess you must hang out with LE and Kawkster on the trails and in the meadows in your open face squid lid, cause who would want to go in really deep snow and trees and have to wear an awful freedom sucking cloth mask (balaclava...) when it’s -15 and stupid deep...

Quit being such a crybaby about something so simple as a mask. You whine so much I doubt you’d last 15 minutes in the mountains out here.

How to be a good Commie , Commie
Step,
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.
Just a few rules on how to be a good little Commie , Commie . Since you can't say one damn thing good about this country . To late Commie

Shows how much you really know right there. Hook, line and sinker.
Great comparison, balaclava to a cloth face mask.
My whole career I’ve wore breathing masks, vapor masks, for alot more hazardous materials that will kill me instantly, and I don’t ware one to protect others in those situations.
You think Im worried about a flu virus.

Lol, you have done the most whining and pissing in the wind out of everyone one here.
What are you 10 years old??? Lol.
Ive been sledding in the mountains in the west for years.

Well aren’t you a badass... for a guy who wears masks all the time now I’m pretty surprised that you wrote “ I really enjoy being oxygen deprived while wearing a mask.”. Those cloth masks sure do deprive the wearer of oxygen....

Most cloth balaclavas or neck gaiters are actually pretty similar to a cloth face mask in that it’s a piece of cloth that can cover your face-especially when you pull it up over your mouth and nose on a cold day... I can’t believe I need to explain that. Cloth face coverings were required at most ski hills last winter too, both indoors and in lift lines- guess what most people used??

It’s really funny that people make such a big deal out of it and complain about having to wear a simple mask. Is it really that bad?

Yes it is I hate wearing balaclavas , most often I wear a smart wool gaitor . I've worked my whole life outside and you really are an idiot if you are going to argue that any kind of mask does not restrict oxygen . I CAN'T BREATH WHAT PART DO YOU NOT GET GEORGE . Only when it suits you .
You keep denying the truth prooven over and over again . Shut the F up , no one wants to listen to your two faced lying ass .

Like I said You dont have a clue what your talking about. Everytime you write something its obvious.
The masks I wear have exhaust valves, so I always inhale fresh air, not recycled air. Your probably one of those who walk around with your nose exposed, and don’t wear one properly anyway.

Balaclavas cover the chin or mouth, not your entire face over your nose. If they do, than they have a breath deflector like my Klim balaclava.

I have stuck a 4 head gas monitor hose under my cloth mask and it alarmed on low oxygen, that low oxygen reading would warrant a full breathing air apparatus in a confined space.

So before you go calling people names on their beliefs and opinions, educate yourself.
How you responded to another member on this forum was a total “Karen” move and it was not called for.

This is what anti-maskers think alarmists look like. I think this is what apocalyptic cultists look like.

Either way a significant population of Americans are independently morons even without the government's influence.

So many rules are made to save morons like this from hurting themselves and the rest of us....

In small town interior BC we had largely avoided covid altogether until recently. In our area of 50,000 ish people, we’ve probably only had a few hundred documented cases of covid in total. I’ve only known (by name) 8 ish people who’ve had it in total. I kinda/sorta think covid might have through here quite early (jan/feb 2020), as a LOT of people were sick, and there was no testing yet...but that’s pure speculation.

Of those 8 people, some no big deal, some miserable, and two guys (healthy, late 30’s guys with no other issues) had severe cases. One went 27 days in ICU near death, and is still on sup. Oxygen weeks later, and will be messed up and off work for the foreseeable future. The other was very sick with small stints in the hospital for a couple weeks. His family missed a month of work and school all said and done. So on my personal numbers - not good to get covid.

I’m NOT a big doctor/meds/hospital type guy AT ALL. But between that and the HIGH % of vaccinations already through many states with minimal issues, I got the phizer and feel good about it. Bit of a risk either way....but seeings there are thousands of people in our area are vaccinated without issue, and of 8 I know with the vid 2 almost died....that did it for me.

I think what you are seeing in some states doing with with covid is a combo of 3 things:
- many have had it
- many are vaccinated
- quite a few died

Unfortunately our half assed lock down in Canada did good up front, but ultimately drug things on, and will for awhile. The AUS/NZ model with harsh lockdowns up front seems to have done well all around, as they have been relatively normal for much longer than North America. And in the US so many people got it that the combo of that and lots of vaccines seems to have been bad up front, but will work out long term.
