Cords sticking out of belt

Can somebody tell me whats wrong when the cords start sticking out of the Polaris 15 belt? It is always on the outer side on belt,, I am thinking it might be the belt to sheave clearance that is too wide? the outer sheave "slams" into belt and cords start coming out?? Thanks on any advice, solution you might have?

Check your belt alignment or maybe motor mounts

If you go to the end of that thread, a guy has a pretty lengthy explanation on belts that was informative for me at least. He claims cord pulling is always due to alignment issues.
