Drove thru the coq yesterday and ran thru a blizzard at the summit it didn't stay down low but there should be some base building up top.

Only 35 sleeps till our first ride!!!

Keep an eye on the highway web cams....it was snowing again tonight!!!!

Oh Ya!!

What to do next......new batteries for my beacon....put the sled deck on the truck....take Shanes airplane keys away..........sooo little to do any sooo long to wait!!

yeah and now with no tolls on the hwy, it just made the trip 20 bucks cheaper, I can live with that.

will be interesting to see how many of you lower mainlanders come up this way now without the tolls. Henning / 10k is busyish on weekends but the tolls aways kept away the guys too cheap to cough up the 20 bucks. either lots of area to play and the more the merrier!

I have been going up there from the tulameen side for the past 24 years, we used to ride on the coquihalla before it was built, we stopped going to that area because it was too busy when the tolls were there, but you just have to accept the fact that its a growing sport, and its bound to get busier.

I think that the toll will make a difference but the biggest difference was last year when the grooming program got going. Prior to last year back at 10K you would see a few sleds but last year you would always see sleds at the new cabin and just over the hill then they were over the saddle and then they found their way back to 22K. All because the trail was groomed.

This year there will be more but only if the groomer is running IMO.

Lets just hope for a record snow year or just an average one about 21 meters or so will be fine. And if we could get about 2' per day on Friday night and Saturday night and Sunday night. Ya that would be good. OK maybe 3' on saturday nights.

I am part of the new snowmobile club for the coqand they say they will be grooming the 10k trail and a member went to idaho to look at a groomer so well see what happens when the snow flies but there is talk that we will have a hill climb competition at the superbowl at henning so we want some sleds to be there
