coquihalla conditions snow cond ?

was up yesterday and we made it into 10k all the way into the back and out to 22/23k. it was hot as I was wearing snowpants and a t-shirt!!! it is like spring conditions(patches of bare spots) and the snow was all packed down and crispy. in that snow there was no such thing as getting stuck. one of our group members held the brake down the hill and nailed a tree on his brand new xp. he flattened the pipe but we unhooked the springs and pulled it off a little bit. sorry i have no pics because we took out film camera and havent got them yet so i cant scan them on. other guy broke his trailing arms and made a mickey mouse fix (it was ugly) tied a tree from one ski tip to the other. other than that it was a good day for exploring!!!

Up yesterday for the day.
Save your dough and wait for more snow.
Crispy, concrete, ice.......just what you would expect from the last few weeks.
Rode out to 22k and back to Henning. All pretty much tracked up and hard.
Nice afternoon though :), sun shinnin', beat the hell out of working.

Got a couple of cm's on the weekend but the conditions generally suck for this time of year. Snow levels are way below average and most areas have received less than foot of new snow since new years - a winter to forget in this area, so far...

We were up there on Saturday (10K), foot and a half of fresh. Everyone seemed to be having a good day:beer;

Was up at both Henning and 10k today. let me tell you it was warm! Henning the snow is still softish with a thin crust on top, fun exploring around. 10k looked like the pemby ice cap in mid summer...shinny and crusty. barely break through the crust!! and couldn't believe how little snow. the foot plus from the weekend looks like it has evaporated! Overall fun day ripping it up and doing some pulls, south facing slopes showing some weakness tho due to day time heating.
oh ya every where was groomed this week so not as many whoops

...we need snow bad tho :(

i bet that there isnt any snow beside the cabin in 10k... at cypress snowboarding yesterday there were bare patches everywhere...hope the season isnt over :eek::eek:
