coquihalla conditions snow cond ?

Well went up today. there is still bare spots going up to Henning but easy to make it up if you watch out for rocks. Up top there is alot of snow for road riding. I would not go off the trails, at least i wasn't about to. The main road out to 10k has enough snow to ride on although not much, no rocks though. While up at the cabin someone wrote in the book that brohm has a lot of snow so if thats an option for you guys down in vancouver. I will still go out but will not be going off the road for awhile (already have a bent nun!)

Thank's soooo much for your very recent report...lets keep everyone in the loop.
How much at brom ?

thanks for the report huskey power....im not 100% sure yet but i think i might head either crowfoot or sicamous both sound pretty good now....if anyone gets new news on the coq or brohm please post

thanks

If there is a group coming up from the lower mainland through merritt to sicamous or revy this weekend, i would be in to tag along and share costs. I have a quad cab diesel with sled deck...

huskey power
i think thats what we might do...go to crowfoot or sicamous, i got a deck on my truck as well with myself and another guy, i dont have a trailer tho

anyone going to brave it and come out the the coq lakes or is everyone headin' east to revy / sicamous?
trying to decide as either is a very doable option for me for a day trip

Going to hit the Coq on sunday was going to go sat but there saying snow and want as much on the ground before i head up, so i thinking sunday better weather and more snow.

goin tommorrow

weather report say light snow mor and overcast possibility of sunny breaks @ hope merrit is showing light snow morn .the hwy cams are showing tons of fresh snowed all day and is still dumping :D:D

I was thinking the same thing...heading up to the Coq. tomorrow am. I think I'm going to wait and hope someone posts a report tonite, before I decide.
As a backup I was thinking going to Whipsaw, if I can find it...never been there.
Cheers.:beer;

what side of the coq were you planning on going??? im on the penask/brenda mines side of it if anyone is up for a ride tomorrow im thinking of going:D

just got back from the coq, there is enough snow for a road ride but thats it i tried to get up to 10k but was impossible with the amount of snow, brutal creek to cross as well. there was no base so we were uncovering rocks as we went there was six of us and we couldnt make it in to the bowls. two of the riders in our group broke there sleds both were due to hitting stumps, and believe me we were not the only ones. if you are planning on going i would stay on the roads:( lots of riders up there today probably 10-15 trucks, 30-40 riders and we made it the furthest. sorry if i $hit on anyones day tommorow, if you are going to try it i would probably go up henning but be carefull!!!

Thanks for the report.
Sounds like an easy road ride & lunch in Tulameen.
But, I got a new (to me) 08 AC Sno Pro to try out, and I sure as hell don't want to sit around the house and have the wife put me to work, so its looking good to go. ;)

Just got back from a ride today.
We just about turned around at Abby, the wind was blowin like crazy, but the itch to ride my new M8 won out.
So, went for a road ride to Tulameen for lunch today to check out the sled and general conditions. Ironically, not much wind for us today...quite calm.
The first 20k of the road are ok and coming along. Seems like a bunch of guys went to 10k, so I like to hear how it was. We went on to Tulameen and I would suggest waiting for another snowfall before heading there as the last 10k only has about 6"-8" of fresh snow and absolutely no base. The girl at the diner told us the first snow to stick was just the other day, obviously it was the stuff we were dogging grenades on.
Anyhow, satisfied the itch :D, but more snow needed for sure.
