Did anyone make it up into 10K this past weekend - or know how it looks up there?

I drove by the 0km parking lot today, and there was about 12 or more trucks there.. There was about a foot of fresh in the parking lot, and a significant amount more base than when I was last there. I suspect it'll be harder to find buried treasures now..

Can any of you guys who were up there can tell us how it actually is above the cabin?

Jon

Just back. Rode the Henning cabin over to Thynne Mtn. A good 4-5 ft in some places. A little skinnier in others. Decent early season riding. One friend lost an A Arm on a rock. Still lots of stumps and rocks out there. That said, it was still a great ride. Minus 20 at the cabin this morning.

Great day today at 10K! Found some deep POW. few land mines but really good snow for this time of year

Anyone been up lately? Was thinking of heading up on Saturday, but definitely don't want to be putting my sled in the shop for some surgery after first ride.

Heading up Friday. I'll post Friday night to let you know if there's any fresh pow for you. Lol

I was out last Saturday, on the really cold day. Peanut and Spearing bowls were both really thin. The ridge towards Thynne mtn wasn't bad, not too many hidden hazards. We went as far as the first major clearcut, and it was thin, so we turned around.

Saying that, it wasnt too bad for early season riding, and should be even better this weekend. I'd be really careful around spearing bowl as that was by far the thinnest and most land mine riddled area.

Anyone heading up to the coqh today? Three of us are having our first ride of the season, not expecting much, but at least it gets us out of the house!!

Went yesterday, it was raining at parking lot and windblown in alpine but in the trees was pretty good riding but snow is wet and heavy!

Coq today was pretty good about 15cm new in parking lot this morning and was snowing most the day! Superbowl had the most snow about a foot or so we were in there all day!!

Rode the coq today. A decent amount of snow but a bit thin in place and about a foot and a half of fresh.

I got out yesterday, went from Henning to Thynne. The rain/snow turned to heavy snow up at the cabin and above. Through the day there was about 3-4 inches of new snow. Towards Thynne is was thin, and none of the clearcuts are playgrounds yet. There is enough snow to get out, but not enough to just go where ever you want.

The groomer hadn't been out, and the trail up was whooped out.

The trails over by the MSC cabin on Thynne were really thin of snow, and there wasn't a chance of going anywhere but the roads over there. The far cabin was full of firewood, and as such still makes for a great destination to get to. The steep trail up and over thynne was in good shape, the long way around sucked monkey balls.

Got out again today.. Found a hidden snow gem! Although, it might not be the easiest to enjoy. If you bypass the Thynne mtn steep up hill, then go to the end of that FSR, through the clear cut trending right.. You'll eventually get to a seemingly never ending sidehill meadow with great snow coverage, some drifts, but nothing too extreme, and not too many hidden hazards. It's all side hill though, so be prepared.

The snow is starting to pile up, and it's a solid base for what's to come. It's fairly consistent snow overall due to the recent warm temps. The only surprises were some still open water holes in marshy areas.
