Cooler material

I need to make a larger cooler for my sled. Where can I find the cooler material? I know Fabcraft, CMX and VE sell it. Would like to find it cheaper or use something different. Any ideas?

I have a U cooler that I could sell you for cheap. its in a ZR chassis, im sure you could chop it up and make something out of it.

back in the day Timbersled make a cooler setup from stainless steel tubes that ran back to a single cooler. Its not on their website anymore but an email won't cost you a thing.

I remember that Timbersled cooler. I thought it was made from aluminum. I was considering making something along the lines of the Timbersled cooler. After pricing out the aluminum and my time I wasn't saving much.

we have cooler material at c3 powersports, or we could make whatever you want. also chad at cr racing can build whatever you need.

probably was aluminum, its been a while since it was on their site. I know what you mean about trying to fab your own. Went that route many times and most of the time the savings were very little.

I use fastrax for my cooler material, the price is fair but curt has MANY diffrent dimensions available to choose from which I have found alot of companies dont!


Vanamburg has some of the most efficient that I have seen though but only carries one size that I know about. It basically has more cooling fin surface area.

On a 900 cat can you reverse the intake ports and have the trailing side lessened? I don't know if there is tubing inside that is beneficial to flow? If this is the case can it be done, Or just get another cooler?
