Do they work, who has experience with them.

I found two one from Terra Alps.

Heres the description for the Terra Alps kit

Thermostat kit for 2008-2013 Polaris snowmobiles. Keeps sleds running cooler, flows more coolant then stock thermostat makes more HP! Has built in bypass so no cold shocks.

I would also like to know and hear from people who have used either one. I remember the "Gizmo" thread got deleted due to some accusations. I believe that the "most wanted" one is the same kit/manufacturer. Are they still in business and able to sell these kits? If I recall, there was some legal issues going on.

I'm sure I'll get corrected by the online experts but I think the '12 eteccy Doo stat opens a bit earlier than what the shiny aluminum housing guys state (service manwel says 99F, full open at 131F). Knowing that, $28 and a plastic tee later and I got what costs $150 to a whole bunch more. Just sayin....wheel...reinvent...?

I looked at those as well - it says for 2008-10 RMK and Assaults. Probably worth a call to them to see why they would not work with the newer Pro's.

$250 - $300 for either of those sounds awful stiff for a glorified t-stat, some heater hose, and hose clamps. All to (possibly) solve a problem that may not be a problem. As far as I'm aware, all other sleds operate in the same fashion as the Polaris's with regards to warm starts and coolant flow. If if was $50 I would give it a shot.

It's not that it won't work, but rather the fact is that it simply IS NOT NEEDED for the CFI2 motors in the Pros - they do not have the fluctuating temp problems that the CFI4 motor had. This thread belongs in the IQ section!

Have FUN!

the most wanted one works great we have been putting them on tons of dragons helped with the motor problems been installing on pros qorking great its defienelty worth the price cheaper than a rebuild.

Yes we are still in business. We recently opened a 10,000 sqft facility in Jackson Hole, WY. We developed the new Performance Enhancement Kit after we had some failures with the Gizmo design. We stepped up to the plate and replaced every kit that was sold thru Redneck Racing free of charge and are now selling the updated version along with some other products that we developed for the Pros. Bumpers, Hood Pin Kits etc.

Outlaw - looked at your website - I like the concept... I looks like the coolant bottle is capped off - curious why?

On the sleds with a front heat exchanger it will be deleted. It is not needed with our kit so the cap that you see is just a block off from the heat exchanger.
