Coolant sensor?...

....does anybody know if once the sled is up to temp, this will affect performance at all?...or is it just an "idiot light"? Found the wire on it was broken off tonight....not sure when it happened...just want to make sure it won't kill the sled while I'm in the backcountry.....not worried about staying cool.

my 05 900 efi king had wire broke off a sender in cooke last year, idled fine mid throttle on up missed spit and sputtered until i got wires fixed.

About $75 sensor. Zip tie wires on new one snug against plug wires or you will be doing that sensor every few years!!!

Found out that on the 03 carbed, it's just an "idiot" light. Doesn't control any of the performance of the sled. For the cable side, you have to buy the harness to get the coolant sensor plug...about $150 at the local cat shop....think I can run without it for a while..
