coolant overflow hose

Got a quick question that I am sure somebody on here can answer. Is the coolant overflow hose supposed to only be long enough to reach just behind the tank so that if it over heats if blows antifreeze down the front of your gas tank onto the tunnel? This does not seem right and I am wondering if I am missing something here.

That's pretty much it.... mine was positioned so it would overflow right into the inspection port for the flywheel:rolleyes: so I moved it a bit so it wouldn't drip there:face-icon-small-win
 
I replaced mine with a longer one that reaches way down behind and under the engine... mine was set up to soak the stator / recoil in stock form.
 
Nice, more brilliant engineering by Polaris. Looks like mine was set up to spray the brake rotor. This is something else everyone who owns one of these sleds should change. They sell the clear tubing at Ace. I'm going to run it someplace else down lower.

There was a piece of tape over that hole for timing from the factory, but it looks like it was scotch tape LMAO. What the heck were they thinking, going to stick a piece of aluminum tape over it. I can see a rusty spot on my flywheel from that hole.
 
Mine is the same. haha. I saw it and thought, wtf?

That is exactly what I thought. Then I looked to see if there was something for it to hook to to see if it was supposed to flow over to where the fuel overflow goes but nope, just dumps out on the brakes and made a mess.:tsk:
 
mine melted onto the pipe ! I say toss it! usless extra weight:face-icon-small-coo

Now that I think about it, there was some kind of plastic hose that melted on the pipe on mine and my friends two 700's, maybe that was the overflow..lol

man, i have lots of products out there, lol..

next should be the Guido-Turbo kit ;)

lots of custom ideas on the back burner....lets do this zane....:face-icon-small-coo

Working on it. Gotta talk to my guy here and get him to draw up some stuff on Solid works for me.
