coolant leak

I have an opportunity to buy a 2006 skidoo summit x1000 but it has a coolant leak on it it ran than stopped pulled plugs out and turned it over and on the recoil side it pumps coolant out the plug hole can this be an easy fix need to know before i buy it.

I'd be real careful about that...

If it's run with coolant in it, or gotten coolant in the bottom end, you will need to repack your bearings. It could be an easy fix, such as a bad o-ring or a blown base gasket. I would try to source out the problem before committing to buy, as it could amount to a lot of time.

Well i bought the sled got it apart its not the head gasket not sure on the base gasket yet but is there any other way the coolant can get in the cylinder like through the water pump?

A top-end and crank case leak check will help you out in finding your problem. Use a little dish soap and water to find a leak. Look at the weep hole below the thermostat, is it leaking out of there?

Yes, coolant can get in there from a cracked cylinder, what do the plugs look like? A defective head gasket will do it too. Does the anti-freeze in the tank have bubbles in it when she's running?

coolant leak update

Ok i bought the sled un heard to running only by what guy told me great buy oh what a mistake but i tore it down and found it to be no bearing in rod bearing so it beat the case and cracked it so coolant came in through the bottom should be an easy fix now i think. What ya think.
