Coolant leak...need help

My 2006 Summit X 1000sdi started leaking coolant. Strange thing was (to me, anyways) that the coolant was running out from under the seat/gas tank and on top of the tunnel all the way down the flap on the back (as well as down the sides). I popped the side cover open, and it did not seem to be coming out of the overflow tube (although I'm unsure on this), and the cap was on tight. It leaked a BUNCH of coolant...I had to top it off to get it back to the parking lot.

I pulled the seat tonight, and the rubber lines that come from under the gas tank appear to be in good condition and the clamps were on tight. I couldn't see any evidence of a leak there.

Would it be possible for coolant to drain under the gas tank/seat towards the back of the sled if it were overflowing out the overflow tube on the resevoir? I initially noticed the leak after I had been in some powder, so the sled would have been elevated in the front, which could cause the coolant to flow towards the rear. Wondering if my cap is bad...

Suggestions?

that sucks

i might buy a 2005 600 summit how did you like your sled before break down please reply.

I looked into it further today. Started it up in the garage and let it idle, and after about 5 minutes of trying to find the leak up front, I look at the tunnel and there's a small stream of coolant running from under the tail light towards the front of the machine on top of the tunnel. Shut the sled down, and I could hear it bubbling up under the tail light. Pulled the light housing, and the coolant is leaking around the little foam seal just behind the exchanger. I guess it's leaking on top of the exchanger and the foam seal is holding it in until it's overflowing over the top of the seam, and then it runs down the tunnel towards the seat.

I looked underneath and can't see anything out of the ordinary, other than the coolant seeping around that foam seal. You guys have any suggestions, or is it time to take it to the dealer?

Same thing happened on my 08, Have not looked into it yet. Could not tell where it was coming from in the field. Mine was just a little I noticed in the morning after riding. I didn't have to add any. Let me know what you figure out

The heat exchangers crack on the ends where the foam covers, I weld them one in a while.
