Coolant Issues

Hey guys happy holidays, so.... i just switched my domes in my RKT head and of coarse to do that, had to drain the coolant. Well now I 'm having some problems refilling it. The first time I filled it, it started pouring out the overflow, so I shut it off. Second time... same thing, after each time the bottle is bone dry. The third time, again overflowed, but this time when I popped the cap it sprayed out. So i tried once without the cap on, filled it just a little and when I stared it the level rapidly rose. The nose is up when I'm filling, and I'm not filling fast, but I'm out of ideas other than just starting over. Anybody know what the hell is happening? It's an 06 M7.

When it comes shooting out you have the sled running right? If that is the case I would say you have a pinched o-ring on the head.

They do have a way of jumping out right before the head touches them:) But it just sounds like a bad o ring that is letting some of the compression push into the cooling system. I would just pop the head and double check for a smashed o ring.

you can put a little grease in the grooves to help hold the orings in place while installing the head.

Thanks for the help guys, but i got another ???. My coolant levels r good but my engine temp is still rising above 83 degrees. Could it be because i was trail riding and not throwing enough snow on the exchangers? Let me know what u think. Thanks again.

I run into that all the time on my 'o6 M7.

I suspect it because the heat exchanger is so small.

gig you jack the front end up when burping the cooling system check and make sure the rear cooler is getting warm

x2

As said above make sure the rear heater exchanger is getting warm, if not you have a bubble in the system stopping the flow.
