Coolant in Crankcase

Alright fellas I'm in the process of putting in my RKT drop in kit in my 13 RMK. I thought I had all the coolant out of the case. Apparently not because when I took it off some got in the bottom of the crankcase. How in the hell do I get it out?!

I have something similar to this for sucking up any liquid works great. Also it can completely drain engine coolant before you open it up and if you keep the tank clean just dump the coolant back in when your done. Really slick.

So I could use a huge a$$ syringe like we put horse meds in with a hose on it? Also is there anything I should do to the crankcase when I get the coolant out?

After you get the bulk of it out you can use a tool grab with a small wad of paper towel to clean areas that you can't easily get too. Once you warm it up the tiny bit of coolant left will just evaporate. If the coolant washed the oil off the crank you might want to wipe some oil on those parts. Don't think it's a big deal though.

Thanks for the replies. I took a big horse syringe with gas line. Sucked it out. Did this a few times. Took the air compressor and blew in there with a towel over top to catch anything. Did this for 5 mins. Then I took probly a spoonful of oil and dumped in there and blew it around till everything was coated.

had the same issue when i did the swap, ended up unbolting engine/lifting up and sticking hands underneth to get to the plugs, washed with gas and then coated everything with oil

So now you guys all chime in haha. Anything specific you guys use for coolant or just regular 50/50?
