COOL CHRIS BURANDT VID TALKING ABOUT THE NEW PRO RIDE

Chris Burandt rode my sled Saturday! (alright I had to make the engine noise and he didn't go very fast) BUT I'll never wash it.....BRAP BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP..ba ha ha (so did about 3,000 other denverites, denveridians, denverino's or what you call em)

PS "he loves the new FOX SHOX package and the NEW BETTER BOARDS" That really was a quote... seriously

Yep.... those BRAAAP noises work wonders.

The Better Boards on the sled will rock... especially with the powder coat option.... proven design from a company that truly follows thru!!

Like he said Polaris brought him back. A big fat $$$$$$$$$$$ back? I would like to see what he's known for and is good at, not blowing smoke up our ... but I guess he needs to make a living. I think we all know what he's riding but just incase someone has scratched goggles it's a Polaris.

He had input on the Pro Ride development. That is cool. Between him and the other Polaris riders, that sled had some really good rider input.

Oh, Rob's boards are sick! He modified them this year and cut down the cleat so it is a tad lower than the outside running board bars. Looks like I'll eventually do that dreaded cut of my boards (you know what I mean....nervous as hell cutting into my tunnel!).

I would like to see Burants Three Pro rmk sleds

Did they came back in one piece???

or What Broke???

I rode with him in mid April. I mainly rode the Assault all day, but spent a few sessions on the Pro as well. Over 2300 miles showed on the ODO, and I'm sure none of it was gentle....I made sure I didn't take it easy!! Sleds held together quite well! No issues really to speak of. He was very happy to have access to Polaris R&D team with feedback on what could be improved for production. I think Polaris did their homework on this one.....

Time will tell....

i would really like to hear your thoughts on the assault, likes, dislikes, compared to the pro rmk, compared to the iq assault, do you think it is a better fit with the 155 compared to the 146?
thanks

He may be the best mountain rider in the world, but to believe every word of a paid endorser is ignorant.

True, he's paid to promote Polaris....but riders like Chris Burandt and Dan Adams (who's been with Polaris for what seems like ever), are also GREAT ambassadors for our sport. They both have earned my respect.

As for my thoughts on the new RMK Assault and Pro models, they're both incredible. The proto's we rode proved to be solid and well put together. The input Chris had through the miles and miles of testing the proto's were obviously refinements and he had a direct line to the R&D team. He also spoke highly of the leader of the R&D team, as he was an avid back country rider himself. Chris' ability to converse with the R&D team was something new, as Arctic Cat, according to him, appeared to have no interest in his opinions, they only used him for marketing/promoting. They gave him those proto's to both promote the new chassis and to try to break them, find their weak spots, so they could be made better before hitting the production line.

Differences: Well, I'm a 230# guy, and the stiffer shocks of the Assault seem to treat me better. I also really enjoy the previous Assault models over the same year Dragons. I was most amazed at the success Polaris had in making the sled very neutral to terrain encounters, but yet so incredibly responsive to rider input. Go through the trees chasing Burandt, and you'll quickly appreciate the stability of the sled as you encounter trees/logs that only one ski rolls over...the sled just stays neutral....BUT, you start maneuvering through tight trees, off camber sidehills, etc etc, and it takes such little rider input to get the desired results.

I think the Assault does everything the RMK Pro does, it just does it a little better for me. The slightly wider ski stance, stiffer front shocks/suspension....it just makes a more compatible package for my riding style. If you are a Dragon fan, get the Pro RMK, you won't regret it. If you love the Assault, the new one will take your back country riding experience further than you'd imagined possible.

I'm not sure about the difference on the new 155" Assault vs. the 146"....the new chassis is so good, I don't think you lose any maneuverability. The extra flotation on the snow might prove to be useful...only time will tell as we get actual owners on the snow with them to get their experience/opinons.

Great sleds!! Can't wait to hear the feedback and ride reports!!!!!!!!!

I thought the comparison between the pro and edge chassis was a bit lame. I own 2 dragons, it should of been the pro vs iq or how poo took the xp chassis and improved it. It is a sweet sled.

I thought the same thing, but...Polaris is still making a lot of IQ chassis sleds. They can't $hit on their own product.

Hate to be a negative nelly but Chris has not been back on poo long enough to have provided much, if any, input on the pro rmk. Unless of course it was developed as hastily as the 900 RMK and if so, heaven help the faithful.
