Converting a race sled to a trail sled what needs to be done?

I am looking at picking up a 06 Sno Pro this weekend possibly that is in sweet condition but is still in full race trim.

I really don't feel like running race gas in a small tank for trail riding.

So I know I need a bigger tank and probably a different head to run pump gas.

What else do I need to do?

I am tossing up the idea of doing an oil pump, or just running premix. Then I will at least know I will never have a problem with an oil pump failure.

Anyways give me some other things that should be done, thanks.

you are on the right track with the larger tank and lc domes. i don't know much about the cats but some say they overheat easily or more than the other race sleds. don't hold me to that but check it out. you can gear it, clutch it. you will need to jet correctly. look on hardcoresledder under the cat racing modified section. there may be some other small things that you will need to do.

They are geared and Clutched for short quick burst's. If the trails are faster and more open that will not be much fun unless you change it up some.
