Contacting HMK for Warranty

I bought a set of pretty dang expensive HMK bibs brand new towards the end of the season last year and on my first ride out in them the whole inseem of the right leg blew out completely. First I tried getting a hold of the online retailer I purchased from and after a week of calling and e-mailing they told me there was no warranty. I said the tag says right on it "2 year warranty" and they said I'd have to get a hold of HMK directly. Well after 4 months of phone calls now and leaving messages at the "warranty" phone number I was given by the retailer I still cannot get a hold of anyone there.

Has anyone dealt with HMK for warranties? I guess I'm just super disappointed #1 that the bibs blew out on the first ride and then #2 the run around I'm getting trying to get them fixed or replaced. They last pair of bibs I had were another company that I bought used and after two years of me wearing them I sent them in for warranty and got them back within a couple weeks. What gives with HMK? Maybe I'm just not going through the correct avenues.

I wouldnt give up. HMK has been around awhile. they may have taken the summer off. Have you tried the contract information off thier offical web page to see if you could get ahold of them using those numbers or e-mail addresses. 4 months seems to be a little long to wait for a reply but like i said they may be a seasonal company and have taken the summer off and you just happen to call after they left. You would think they would say something on their viocemail about that though. Sorry to hear that you had problems right out of the gate. that always seems to leave a bad taste in your mouth especially with what things cost today. Might want to contact another couple of dealers to see if they have any new information how you could contact them even though you did not buy your gear from them. You might find one that steps up to help you out. I would think someone would be able to give you the information you need. good luck

When I had a warranty issue with one of their products it was handled pretty quick.

Thanks guys, I really LOVE that way my jacket fits and it is the perfect set up for me and my riding style. That's why I bought the bibs. Luckily it was march and pretty warm out when they ripped so I still got to ride the rest of the day. I would have been bummed if it was cold because it was one of the only bluebird days I got to ride all season last year.

It's very possible that they had taken some time off I suppose. I mean it was in late march/early april when I started trying to get a hold of them. I just really want to get the ball rolling now so I don't end up having to buy new bibs before the snow flies. On another note although my jacket is a PERFECT fit (I mean seriously, I've never had a more comfortable breathable jacket), the bibs felt kind of awkward. Maybe I just need to "break" them in a couple rides haha.

I just emailed them from their main website and they got back to me within the week. I was really impressed with their offer. I haven't took them up on it yet it probably expired oops

just called the phone number (directly from the website), left message and sent e-mail to customer service address listed on the website. Hopefully will hear back soon :)
