Hi.

Currently own a 06 RMK 700. In my world that is a powerful sled, and i am very happy with it (except... reliability.)

So, i have been looking at a Phazer MTN Turbo.
What are your'e thoughts about that?

Any known issues on these sleds? Are they reliable?

Do you think i will be happy with it compared to my RMK?

Thanks guys! Dont tell anyone that i may come over to the darkside! :D

I wouldnt touch a phazer unless your looking for a light under powered sissy sled.
Are you female? Do you weigh less then 130 pounds?

Yes all newer yamaha turbo/supercharged sleds are more reliable then any stock 2 stroke. IMO
I also own a Polarass assault and would have to say that switching from what you have to a TPhazer would not be fun.
Just go for a nytro, I think you will be way happier with that.

I just don't get the turboed phazer thing. Buy a 800 2 stroke or get a nytro. My turbo nytro has been the most reliable sled I ever owned. I am going back to a turboed cat. I am over the heavy sleds. I am willing to pay the price for less reliability. The nytro is a cool sled but it is too heavy for what I like to do.

Personally i wouldnt waste my time with a turbo phazer! But a good 800 and you'll be happier.just my .02 cents

I am looking at a phazer because of the price, and i guess the reliabilty is better than any 7/800 2 stroke even when turboed?

I dont see whats wrong with them, ok they are small, and you may call it a sissy sled. But i like the look of it. And considering i can get a turbo phazer for the price of my 06 RMK i dont think that is a bad trade?

If there arent a lot of problems with the Phazers, that is...

I just installed a MCX kit on my wifes phazer, as far as reliable I do not know yet. I have done a lot of reading and as far as I can tell if you keep your boost down to 12 lbs with the headshim it should last a long time. I have seen quite a few pics of the turbo phazers on fire and have heard that that was mostly because of fuel breather line routing problems. Go over to totally yamaha and do some reading there is a lot more info reguarding Turbo phazers.

OK here it is again;) Thanks 509 films:D

In terms of performance. It will smoke the 6/7/8 and trade paint with some big bore stuff.
It may be a tad mushy on the back end and the front end will be twitchy but all stuff that can be changed to your liking. Several 14 7/8" tracks on them now so it is possbile to go a tad wider and for sure longer. 153 is a nice length so look around.
I'm looking for another one for my youngest at the moment. Saw one in the 7k mark recently.....missed it by a couple hours:rolleyes:
There will always be haters........I just tune them out:p
Happy boostin'
