Considering a Nytro....

I have been a diehard Doo guys since day one and now looking to move on. I have read just about every thread on the Nytro. The sled appears optimistic. Coming from a modded 800 REV, riding style ranges from trails to the steepest and deepest, what would I (you) not like about the Nytro in it's stock form?

Nytro

First changes I did were the suspension then track... Adjustable riser.. Could of tried flipping the track around as paddles were bent bad but went to 162..

You think flipping it would help or only a short term fix?

If you're not a highmarker than yes. You won't win a climbing contest, but I don't think anyone would buy it for that reason. The handling is quicker and more responsive than the Rev, very fun sled to ride.

Flipping the track is a short term fix. Why not wait for the 09's chances are they will have better track options and you will save some money on the switch over.

Couple of reasons. 09's are undetermined as for options and upgrades. One can only assume at this point. Also ready for a sled now and Yamaha and their dealers have some sweet deals going. Found several in the area for under $9k with reverse.

I would go for it if you are going to add boost later on. This sled is a 10 on the fun factor list. Only downside without boost is watching your buds highmark you all day or get stuck in places that the others blast through.

Good reliable sled for mild off trail riding...but don't do it unless you plan on spending lots of extra cash to make it a true mountain sled. Also, they are still way too heavy for my liking.

He said he is going to boost it later in the summer.

And to all you XP riders... keep telling yourself that weight is the only thing that matters. That is all you can claim about your sled that is better than everyone else. If you have ever rode a Nytro the weight balance on it is perfect, way easier to throw around than a REV. And stuck the Nytros are heavier, but I have never been stuck yet and I idle up to the XP highmarks and laugh as I finally give it gas.

Buy it, love it and never look back.

There are alot of things that can be done to a Nytro. Boost being the best thing you can do. (summer time project)

Buy your sled. Have a 162X15x2.5 put on and gear it down 2 teeth on top.

Yea the 16 inch wide is nice, but the 15 won't rub and should be a little easier to spin.

There are few guys out there that have put a 162 on without boost. The stock track is garbage.

Please< like ther xp is anything to brag about pos, ive ridden 300miles so far without even opening the hood or any thing, this is worth its weight in gold if you ask me, rode today in 3' plus of new snow and the sled worked awesome, and yea i didnt have to change a belt lol, all it needs is a little clutch work andd the nytro will get anywhere you want it to with 0 problems.

Whatever it takes for you to justify the purchase of your XP

I road a demo xp today was having a blast tell it broke the fuggen drive shaft that sure put a bad taste in my mouth
Any one in the okanoogan with a stock nytro want to come riding with me so i can try one out?

Other than the track being a 153 x 15, what's the down side to the Maverick? Just to soft?
