So, we've had the Norwegian Championship dragraces this weekend.
New European Recrod was set by a RX-Turbo!!! Mid mount custom turbo from Ottos Motor in SWEDEN!!! This is in the open fuel unlimited 1600cc(max displacement is 1600cc) class. We're running 660 feet SNOW with a track start on these machines. His best time was 5.75, but to set a record you have to back that time up with another time that has to be 1% close to this time...I think he ran 5.83 in his second run, but not TOTALLY sure. He will however FOR SURE apply for the FASTEST time EVER in Europe with this sled!!! CONGRATULATIONS, Bjørn Ivar Masternes (rider) and Nicklas Ottoson (owner/builder)
And, the Fastest MOUNTAIN machine, in the mountain class, Trail Unlimited, where we run 660 feet on Snow, with a Snow start (start beside the tracks), the Fastest machine was ALSO a Yamaha. 2003 RX-Mountain MCX Turbo with Nitrous. This machine did 6.5 something, and that's FAST on a TRUE mountain machine with stock suspension.
