if so there are parallel to usb adapters available.

obviously its not a usb plug, the old style printer cords had giant ends on them that I havent seen adapters for.

I have a parallel to USB cord hooked to my HP LaserJet 4MP printer, which was purchased in 1992. All works just fine. You can get them in about any computer store or on the net. They also make Serial to USB cords.

If the OLD printer is a Parallel Printer, then YES, there are plenty of adapters out there.

Most likely you will want a USB to Parallel.
