Next will be GPU and Ram.

only a 1.8 GHZ processor? get something you can over clock like an intel core i7

This computer is over 4 years old. I'm trying to find out what other chips the motherboard will accept. A i7-2600k would fare nicely in this machine.

nice minton...
my son did his computer when he was your age...(9 years ago)..he liquid cooled it..it was easy...cooling blocks replace the chip fans and a nice little radiator with cooling fans

I would do liquid cooling with a bigger case.... I'll make sure to do it on my next computer.

you do know all that fancy stuff will be outdated in 12 months dont you

just buy new

windows and mac are elementary grade platforms compared to other stuff out there. the big dog platforms you dont hear about cause they are so advanced, and pretty much evolve themselves, and you can go into some super secret back doors.

just thought id throw some randomness in there.....

technology wise... meaning you can pretty much get a 3D view of your computers guts and make it do things you didnt know it could do.

Kind of like that chick in the last Terminator movie?

Minten,

What do you need an 850 Watt power supply? You probably can't even run SLI or crossfire with that board... Remember that buying top of the line results in the quickest loss of value... I built a computer a couple years ago, using just regular middle of the road parts. Got a great computer for little cash outlay...

Still does everything great..

I used to build/rebuild a lot of computers at work. In the last several years it has gotten to the point where it's cheaper to just buy a new one. They almost become disposable. I can see where you are having fun though.

A new computer costs about 2k to build... I think a power supply and GPU should do it for now......

This was just a little something for me to do until I can go ride again!

New build

Just got my new case in. It's NZXT, a full case in white. Pics to come. Also picked up 2GB of DDR2 Patriot memory for my current computer.

Can't wait for this computer. It's going to kick a$$.
