Community service ideas

My 20 year old step son made a bad decision and got in a little trouble. He has taken a plea but has 120 hours of community service that he has two years to complete.

Does anybody have any ideas of something he can do for 6 to 8 hours on Saturday's that might help our cause (the off road community) or any worthy cause that would satisfy the courts. This crowd might have a little experiance with this and some good ideas.

He is a full time college student with a 3.6 GPA, a full time job at an out door equipment distributor and a father son land scape business in the summer. He's a damn good kid, just made a stupid mistake that a lot of us could have been busted for when we were his age, or now...

Patrol sno-parks for thieves and keep the crapped door shoveled.:beer;;).....both would be nice for this community.

I had a buddy many years ago that had to do a little community service.
He spent his time washing fire trucks.
When me and my ex ran a pet rescue shelter we had a couple kids volunteer to clean cages to burn off their time.

I think he can volunteer for any offcial non profit organization to get his hours so that gives him many options including possibly SAWS

Litter pick up at Sno Parks and trails for all of the loser sledders and skiers that seem to mistake the ground for the garbage.

With him sitting on that Polaris, he looks like the future might be hopeless!!!...;):D

Finding something that is related to the crime I think is good. I once got busted playing mailbox baseball and had to work in the recycling center sorting metals. Haven't played it since....

As much as I would like our riding areas and snowparks cleaned up...I would go for something like Boys and Girls Club...Forgotten Childrens Fund...Childhaven...something where he will positively affect the lives of those who need it most...and also get to experience children who are far more worse off than we can imagine.

Ever have to sprint from the truck to the crapper with a tortoise head poking out only to find 18" of snow blocking the door??? Can it get worse than that?

This is good stuff and the most likely route he will take but it would be nice to mix it up a bit.

Y-dog, At Least he made that hill, no turbo needed.

Don't know if SAWS would qualify or not, but we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit. If we did qualify, I would have to think of what he could do for us if he wanted to use this.

We are a virtual organization. No paid employees and no building. We mainly research snowmobile access issues and write alerts and opinions, and forward news items to our members.

Does he know web design? We could certainly use help in a web site upgrade. I created the current one, but I have no web design skills - as is obvious by the quality of our web design. :p
