Bringing the Pro RMK's from Tahoe to visit Valerie's extended family in Boise.

Looking for places to ride using Boise as a home base for a couple of days, then we might head out to McCall or ??? --Not the best time to find accommodations, being the holidays and all....

We're not chute killers, we enjoy boondocking, tree riding, hill climbs.

Suggestions welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks,
Murph

Not looking for a tour guide.... just point us in the right direction?

Do we need permits for the sleds to ride in Idaho?

Thanks,
Murph

Yep, you'll need your stickers to ride in Idaho. Not sure what's right around Boise to ride. I live over close to Sun Valley, so between here and Boise you have good riding north of Fairfield, Chimmney Creek, & the Trinitys. As far as snow totals go you'll find the most right now in the Trinitys. Good luck & be safe out there.

McCall area

The snow is going to be coming down in buckets the next few days in the mountains around McCall. The riding will be in deep powder. The grooming is in full session, you can access the weather and grooming reports at

The web site has links to local places to stay and services.

Check out Bear Creek Lodge as one place to stay and ride out from there without having to trailer to a parking lot.

Come on up and have a ball.

Trip on hold....

Thanks for the replies...

Thirty minutes before leaving Tahoe, parents were packing up their stuff and heading to their house after spending Christmas with us.....

Mom slipped on ice in front of our place and compound fractured her ankle. Broke tib and fib, filled her boot with blood and is now a guest of Truckee/ Tahoe hospital after surgery to have plates installed.

Needless to say we never got on the road......

(At least it's supposed to dump here and we can visit her on our way to ride and our way back.....)

Thanks again...
