COMING SOON: 1100T TRAILTANK!

I dont know if the extra fuel is as appealing as the weight loss. How much weight can you drop and make the tank 10 gallons? Or move the fuel weight away from engine?

TRAILTANK there seems to be a LOT of interest in the tank from guys like Turbo11T. Is there any way to fill in the space at the front of the tank and block about 3-4 gal of fuel there to move the weight back and keep it at 10gal full. Maybe something like an inflatable bladder that could also be emptied if you had a really long day planned?

Smaller TrailTank?? That's not what we do. :face-icon-small-win Understand the desire for more weight loss, but have to say we have never had a request for smaller tanks, until now. Couldn't save much weight by changing the geometry to push fuel back. Making a shorter tank would save weight, but you then need to support the back of the seat. Get 200 orders lined up and we will do it!

If you could take 4 gallons from the front of the tank that is 16 lbs. Eliminate the foward most 4 gallons of area of the tank. Likely by doing so you would eliminate upwards of 20 lbs with tank and fuel added in. I think most 1100 guys would be god with 10 gallons of fuel. You could make the tank stick out behind the seat like the stock XP tanks do and maybe fit an extra gallon in there bringing it to like 11 gallons with the same weight loss in the middle of the sled. I could be wrong but I think it would be a win.

Personally I don't know anyone who would want a smaller tank. We pack gas on every ride and usually come back on fumes. I love that cat put on bigger tanks this year, will make my riding day last longer.

The way the tank is designed if you don't fill it, most of the weight would be towards the tail.

Unless your downhill at all. Or on the side. I am just thinking lower and toward the back may help. Just really thinking out loud though.

I was wondering about that. From the pic in the first post it looks like a lot of the fuel is in the rear.

Does this one fit the 800 LTD models with the battery in the rear of the seat?

My wishes for a better tank is removing the big bat cave in front so I can use a fuel cap with the gauge like older style sleds have.
More fuel, more fun!
Even put a clear stripe on the side like in the good old days to show the amount of fuel.
If I could pack another 5-10 liters with me in a bigger fuel tank, that would be perfect. And combine that with a fuel can from mountain addiction, you got a full day of riding and still can use the spare can for the return back to camp!

I know the clear tank would look stupid on my all black sled but the only reason I want one is because the stupid fuel gauge on ACPC are no good and only works good on the garage floor with the sled standing perfect leveled.......

There is a reason you run out like that..... hope we get another.
See you in SLC

This tank will fit the 800 with the battery, yes.

I put a natural color one on my 2012 and it fit good. One thing I did have to do though is extend all of the wires that are underneath the seat because my battery is still mounted like it was on the old tank. Not a big issue but didn't know it when I started. I put in 13 gallons when I filled it up. Will be really nice to see the gas level compared to the inaccurate gas gauge.
