Coming from an EDGE...to nytro.

I've been thinking more and more that the nytro is the way to go for me, since I still have the '03. I'm thinking the power can't be too far off from what I have right now, so if I ride it NA for a year it'll be cool, then on boost it will be a dream come true. What handling differences are there between my sled and the nytro? Which lays over easier? The weight isn't that far off, and I'm 210# myself, so not really obsessing over an oz. here or there.

I guess I think that I'll get the reliability and hopefully the handling I want with the opportunity for big power in the future. Anyone made the same switch?

Going from an 01 Poo, tweaked a little and lightened up alot to a Nytro, but it's gonna be boosted. I rode a regular Nytro, and really liked the way it rode, I don't think I'll notice the weight difference at all. I'm a pretty aggressive rider runnin around 190lbs that seems to find a way to put sleds in precarious spots, I think the Nytro will work out well. I couldn't leave it stock, just not enough ponies for me.

I went from an 'o3 Pro-x to a Nytro. The Nytro is effortless in deep pow compared to the Poo. I ran N\A for a year, there's alot more torque in the mid range of the Nytro but pinned my Poo 800 with basic mods had quite a bit more.

Just finished up the turbo kit and and adding a suspension. Let it snow.

Went from a 04 King Cat (monster) and a 06 M 7 to a Nytro and oh my. Im about 190 give or take and WOW for me there will be no other. Love it. gave it some breathing help and a little weight loss. Ya the turbos and supercharged are cool but i like to pick my way between around and up the hill. OK OK nothin against you guys with boost its awsome. But dang is that sled fun.

I switched from an 03 EDGE RMK to a Nytro and don't regret it. Awesome sled. Does need a diet, but other than that it's great. The reliability factor alone is enough to make the Nytro a good decision. It does have a learning curve to learn to ride it compared to a two stroke but once you figure that out, you will be very happy with it. I know I am. Just my 2 cents.

A few years back we did a big weigh in of our sleds. A couple of guys were riding Edge sleds. 1 was a 2002 156 RMK bone stock full of fuel it was 622 lbs. The lightest of the modded sleds was an 04 159 at 569 wet so weight wise the stock Nytro is in the range. I've got about 75 lbs off mine now and if you believe the published figures that should put it roughly in the 550-570 wet range. Only getting it on the scales will tell for sure.

Buy it!!!!!

I switched from a 04 159 edge (had pipes, reeds, big wheel, drop and roll, dial-a-jet and a PSI head) to 08 nytro mtx 153 and i love it, only thing i don't like about the sled was the factory rear skid(to soft I bought a full timber Suspension) as for the handling your are con pairing apple's to orange's the nytro lays over so easy that the first couple of rides my buddy's would have to pick the sled off of me. i was also impressed with the power for a stock sled in the trees i was the one breaking trail. This sled has allot to offer and i am sure you will not be disappointed with the nytro and there is that whole 4 stroke thing o and no mixing oil thing o and don't forget about that BOOST thing. Can't wait i have the new Impulse race kit 1/2 installed.:beer;:D

I've also switched from a ploaris to an m7 then now to the nytro. The nytro is the only sled that I actually wanted to keep after the first year. I still have my m7 but if feels like an old jalopoy now after getting on a nytro. Make the change and you won't be sorry. Up grade the rear suspention so it' stiffer and put on simon's wide flex ski's and you'll have a great sled.

08_Nasty_nytro GET TO WORK you BUM!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply's guys, I think next year will be the year, wife permittimg.;)
I'm currently waiting on a motor build, so that's soured me a little on the 2 strokes. We're going to revy early Dec. and two buddies have TNytros, so I'll get a chance to try them out. Looking forward to it even if it makes the rest of the year hard on my old iron....lol.

I'm also glad to hear that you guys are having fun on them NA, cause I'll have to run that way for at least a yr.

See you on the hill!
