Combo Drivers?

Switching to a Camoplast Mountain track which needs 3" Drivers. Right now I am running 10 tooth 2.52" Anti-Ratchet drivers. I see that most 3" drivers only come in 7 or 8 tooth varieties. What does this affect? Are more drive points better? Seems like a 9 tooth 3" combo driver is pretty spendy. Thinking of grabbing these:

https://www.avid-products.com/store/ProdDet.cfm?ProdID=93

It states, "These are for 1.0625" and 1.125" shaft only"

But gives the option for 1.250 which is the axle size I need. Will they work? Thanks.

The number of teeth affects your overall gearing. More teeth = bigger driver diameter. Also, you have to run the track tighter with smaller drivers.

8 tooth 3" pitch drivers are really close to the same diameter as 10 tooth 2.52" pitch drivers.

I've not been around the Avids much, we just use the stock '05+ King Cat drivers, which are an 8Tx3" driver.

part numbers:
1602-727 - inner drivers
1602-527 - outer drivers

We have run a couple of sleds with just the two inner drivers, and no outers.

There seem to be a number of people parting out their Kings right now, you may be able to pick up a complete stock shaft.
