What happened?

Seattle PI indicates a snowmobiler died at 1:30am new years morning in Stevens County (25 miles east of Colville).

unfortunately this hits close to home

He was a friend / customer of ours son. Went for a ride on new years night and somehow ended up hitting a couple of trees, He was by himself riding and they did not find him to a few minutes later, they did cpr on him for almost 2 hours I am told but to no avail. Bad deal for sure, they have spent many new years up at their cabin over there. RIP
