There are a few of us around, but it seems like alot of people tend to keep to their own groups. I actually have a neighbor that lives a couple blocks away that has sleds and I've never met him. How bad is that? We have 4 in our group that ride real well together. I've ridden with a few people from the springs once..... Sometimes it's the schedule, the type of riding, sometimes folks just don't mesh. I will usually ride with my group or head up to Rabbit Ears by myself to meet up with guys up there. Part of my problem is the short notice of when I can leave. Good luck.

I hear ya on the riding styles. I have been riding a long time, but do not enjoy extreme riding. Maybe too old but destroying a sled doesn't appeal to me. 
My main sled is a 1999 ZRT 800 with 900 kit on it. I don't weigh much so it goes anywhere my 700 RMK does. Used to go mostly Vail, Cottonwood pass and Ophir Creek. Really don't care where I go though as long as it is not Breck with all the 10 mph rentals!
And of course if I tag along I will buy the gas.

I'm looking to go riding this saturday. This is my second season riding in the Mtns. I ride with a friend who is in his 50's (i'm 30) he's a great guy but i want ride when ever i can and he's been hurting alot lately so he hasn't wanted to go. I have a xlt with a 144, i would like to ride with some guys who can teach me a few things and show me around. If your intersested in teaching a new guy a few things let me know.
I don't have a sled trailer but i do have a crew cab chevy that can pull whatever.
I feel like i'm doing some online dating thing... weird

That's funny, Tudizzle's wife asked if I was the online date when I first showed up to ride with him. This site has been great for meeting people to ride with.
I had one guy on here keep asking to get together for a ride and he seemed nice enough. Then one day he posts that he is 13 Imagine if I had set up a ride and I show up at the house...his parents look me up and down as I introduce myself and let them know that a 30 year old man...from the internet...was here for their son!

tudizzle, at first I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair. Then I remembered that this is Colorado Springs, the place where a kid was charged as a sexual offender for peeing on a bush. Then it didn't seem to funny.

We should set up a meet & greet for happy hour some night. It would be a good way to meet more people from the springs & get a feel for how you mesh. Then your not stuck w/ some kid all day

I was thinking the same thing. How about the Yukon Tavern for happy hour tomarrow at 5:30? It's on circle just north of MLK bypass. Just a thought, what do you all think.
