Colorado Sled question

I'm looking at a sled from Colorado. What should it have for proof of ownership? It has a Colorado tag but the guy doesn't have a title or registration. He has the dealer invoice, I know it's not stolen, but I don't know if there might be a leinholder

Colorado doesn't issue a title for snowmobiles and ATV's. If he has the the dealer invoice, thats all you'll probably get from a Colorado sled. Just make sure you write up a proof of purchase/sale that includes the VIN#, date, seller's and buyer's sigs.

cool, thanks for the info. Wa state doen't have titles either, but they have a registration to go with the tag number
