colorado forum sugestions

with all the changes going on here why does"nt snowest give free premium memberships to the members who are always giving out great info for the rest of us. guys like PJ AND BUSHMASTER, there are about 20 of you guys on this forum that are the core of the colorado section.i have not paid up yet,but will gladly pay up if snowest does not chase all of you off, other wise it is off to sledmods for info.i know this probably belongs in the sugestion section!thanks again for all the snow updates.

As there is not a mod in the Colorado section there has not been a thread started on offering a couple of free memberships to those that are an asset to the Colorado section.I will start a thread for you all to nominate a couple of members that go out of their way to help others,whether it be putting up conditions or a member that helps people but due to the economic situation can not afford a premium membership.
Also as this is a rather busy section is there anyone that would like to step up and take over as moderator for this section.
Anyone wanting to step up for the job please PM Christopher for the position.

I do agree that there are a few people on here that post more useful info than others, but I fully believe in "The more heads, the better" Alot of people are gone and quite a few may never return, which is a real shame and there is 1 person to blame in all this. Hopefully people will keep the 75 post count limit in mind for those who can only see that far.

I wouldn't take a free membership. I don't think that being a PPM would make me feel any more comfortable on SW either. The core of what I have gotten from SW is fellowship, and a lot of that fellowship has disappeared from around here. SW is just a construct where peeps come together; it ain't my buddy. The management have shook things up enough so as to make this place seem strange, un-familiar, and generally disagreeable, and they're making it pretty easy to want to leave.

I will agree with you Paul, there is a lot less posts going on here as of late. I figured it was due to poor snow conditions as of late but conditions have improved greatly and really no more traffic to the forum. Current conditions and occasionally finding someone to ride with is what I use the forum for, for the most part... Mark and or I ride every Friday and post the Ear's conditions for everyone, I'm sure most appreciate the heads up... Too bad last night I was not able to post pictures...

You don't have to except a free premium membership and I understand your reasoning behind it.
But there are members in your section that may accept a membership for all the help they have given to other members.
Yes the owners of the site have made some drastic changes but I have not had a look at their books so I have to take them at their word that they could not keep the forums going without the changes.
I am sure they knew that these changes could possibly hurt membership,but business is business.
As I have stated I am not defending managment,I am defending the forum that I have grown very attached to along with the friends that I have made along the way.
I just wish we could all get along and have the comradery of the past.
I am not looking for any conflicts and appoligise if I have caused any grief and will stay out of your thread unless called for.Any questions or to beotch me out please PM me.

well, i have waited a long time to weigh in on this subject. i have pretty mixed feelings about it like everyone else. i'd much prefer it to stay like the old days......not the free recent days, the OLD days. good site, good info. not the chicken sh*t stuff that has been on here so much the last year or two. i've got WAAYY more good info and riding bro's off of here than i could ever get for 30 bucks. i don't know how this will go in the long run, but for 30 bucks i figured i'd give it a whirl. i think bushy and others are right.....it ain't the site, it is the guys on it. i think that whoever this christopher is, he has screwed the pooch pretty bad. i am hoping enough of our good local guys will stick in for the "brotherhood"... i'm sure some will not. i also think some guys are being pretty whiney as well... some of the most vocal i have read (not in the colorado forum) are pretty short timers. i can certainly see a lot less flatlanders paying the price. my personal opinion (which is worth less than 30 bucks) is that i have gotten great value from here. i am also pissed at the way this pinhead admin has handled things. i guess for me, it came down to hoping most of the bro's will stick as opposed to flyin' the bird at numbnuts. i have been MIA on here lately, working my arse off and out of the country about 80% of the time. around for the next month.....hoping to get in some good playtime.
