I have a couple of buddies that are trying to talk me into going elk hunting with them this year in Colorado. I was just wondering what to expect on a do it yourself bowhunt in one of the units with the over the counter tags? I haven't heard a lot of great things about it, but some things were good. Any info would be great on what the chances are of seeing elk and what to expect while hunting. I have been to Wyoming and Montana as well as South Dakota elk hunting and it was great. Just curious if I can expect the same type of hunting there? They are looking at unit 26 I believe. thanks
