Colorado Clutching for the Pro

Picked up a 2011 Pro 800, it has stock engine, SLP can, 10-58 weights, Doug's balanced the clutch, black 140/330 primary spring, stock driven, 19-42 gearing. I did the Fbomb track mod w/o screws.

From what I've seen on here this looks to be a good setup for 9000+, which is where I will be. My question is if I put on a PAR 13.6 head what would be the next clutch change if any?

Thanks

I'd go SLP blue/pink in the primary and the black/purple in the secondary with a delrin washer.

I think you'll pick up a little bottom with that setup both stock and with the PAR head.

You might have to move to 10-60's with the PAR head. I ran the same setup last year on my '11 Pro. I also had to run a gal or two of race fuel or run with the ethanol plug in.

Clutching

Tracks,

Thanks for input on pro clutching , I can't find a black/purple spring listed for driven. This is what they have on website?

40-3 Black Driven Spring 40/66 24.95

40-43 Black/Gold Driven Spring 22/44 24.95

40-65 Yellow/Purple Driven Spring 40/95 24.95

40-79 Black/Orange Driven Spring 56/90

What weights are you running?

Thanks
Bill

Bill,

The black/purple is a Polaris spring I believe, or at least a Team spring...not an SLP one. Maybe that's why you aren't finding it?

I run 10-58's around Colorado.

The primary spring should help it hit a little harder on the engagement which should help your "snappiness". I really liked my slp blue/pink versus the stock 140/330.
