code 84 apex?

while riding today my mcx 06 apex died and showed code 84. the engine check display was flashing.
just had my battery replaced and relocated.
any ideas?
thanks

TPS could have gone out, throttle cable stretched, ice in the sleeve. shouldn't have died though

Ya definitly TORS!!I rolled my nytro and the throttle cable pulled out from the thumb port just a little,5mm maybe and activated the tors. All I had to do is push the throttle cable back in the 5mm and it was fine.I know have my TORS disconnected though. But I am also adding a tether to save any runaways!!!!

my BatCap battery died recently and I thought I'd replace it with something else. the new battery sits in the nose of the sled. after the tors was activated I pulled of the hood and noticed that the new battery was completely submersed in snow, bare terminals and all. is it possible that the battery was shorting out and thats why the tors was activated?

also, how do I bypass the tors?

Shows you how to bypass in your Manual. Lotta good info in there. Battery shouldn't have anything to do with it

That happened to me last year(code 84) and it turned out I had ice built up in my throttle lever. Thawed the sled out and problem was solved.

Apache do you have Darkos old machine ? If so just adjust the throttle cable. I'm pretty sure he had the CR bars and 9.25 risers. If so all it is doing is stretching the cable when turning. Do you notice it activates the code 84 when say turning to the right ? If so just adjust the cable to 1/8" play on the flipper with and without the bars turned. If that doesn't work then disconnect the TORS. I almost disconnected mine but i just adjusted the cable with these new CR bars, they were alittle longer than my last set from Chad.
