code 43-fuel system voltage

Anyone had experience with this code? Last weekend I had my sled shut off 2x because the large size fuse....10amp up near the front kept poping. I assumed either my fuel pump was starting to fail or I had some sort of short? I did find a potential problem where I plug my headlight into the aux power outlet and may have been shorting up there? I had to jumper the fuse in the end that day to get it to run. It would only pop the fuse at WOT. Next day after unplugging my headlight and drying things out the code was gone and it worked fine.

Also when jumpered (and still had the headlight plugged in and throwing the code) you could tell when starting there was another drag on the battery as it was harder to turn over.

Thoughts?

Replace the relay that has three red wires (with tracer) and one blue wire going to it. Start it up, may take a minute to clear the code.

Typically my experience with relays is they work or they dont. I am guessing its a short or the fuel pump is fading?

Any thoughts?

We had an Impulse Nytro on the weekend doing the exact same thing. Maybe it was the relay too.

Sounds like your fuel injection system relay is freezing up. Couple things you can check if it does it again. Go into diagnostic mode and check the system voltage at "09" to see if it is at 12V. You can also actuate the fuel system relay to see if it is frozen while in diagnostic mode. At diagnostic code "50" push the grip warmer side of the grip/thumb adjustment switch. Put your head down at the front of the sled near the four relays up front and if it is working it will click 5times at one click a second. From the front of the sled back the fuel injection relay is the 3rd one. If your stranded you can replace it with the fourth one (rad fan relay). I carry a spare one of both types of relays up front in the nose of the Nytro.

MCXPRESS 270 Instruction book tells you to install a 30 amp fuse that is included in the kit.

I was reading that this morning. So the 30 amp is the big fuse up were the main power comes in, not the mini fuse near the reverse lever? The fuse that blew was up near the oil tank.
