Im either going to powdercoat my stock running boards or get some tube boards, probably bmfab. Obviously coating the stockers is cheaper, do the tube running boards build up less snow? Any other advantages?

Personally if I'm gonna go through the trouble of removing my boards I'm gonna upgrade. Pick your poison on the brand but I know lot of people are happy with BMFAB and Skinz over the stockers.

Tubes will hold less than factory pro boards however, sticking snow has more to do with the heated tunnel than which board u have.

I have the BM Fab boards on my sled, My favorite thing about them is that they raised the foot hoop up so you do not get your foot stuck in the foot well. They are also super strong I watched a buddy side hill and hit a huge rock with the running board that sent the sled airborne all that happened was gouged the powder coat, it easily would have snapped the factory board. Build quality is some of the best I've seen

Go with semi gloss or gloss powder coat if you do the bm boards. I had matte last season and got them redone this summer in gloss. Heat exchangers do cause more ice buildup.

Also the rear of the stock boards start the build up process of the snow along with the tunnel heat exchangers- and it starts creaping forward, forward, forward.
With the tube style boads I have mounted on clients sleds it is greatly "reduced" but not elimated....

Our group was about half and half between stockers and bm fab boards last year on our Axys'. Everyone thought the bm fab tube boards were a much better product (held less snow, stiffer, stronger, better feel) and will be switching before this season begins. We have used boards from a couple different companies and the service, price, and build quality from bm fab is unmatched in the industry.
