Coated pistons

T
So Im flippin through an old Sled Heads mag and I came across an ad for swain tech coatings. They coat pistons and heads INSIDE the chamber. Thus reducing heat and wear. Has anybody used this stuff, what are your thoughts?

its been used in motor sports for years. on pistons it would spread the heat evenly and help stop penetration into it. same with the heads.

I have used their White Lightning coating on my Y-pipes and pipes for the last 4 or 5 years, works great, drops under hood temps, keeps the heat in the pipe. Sent pistons off for a friend fro his 900 A/C, kept squeaking piston, poly coated the piston and gold coated the tops, no more problems.. Am a true believer in Swain Tech's products..;);):):)

Ya can't reduce heat, just change where it goes. If you coat your pistons and head, where does the heat go....or not go?

It stays in the cylinder, until it is shot into the pipe. Will that increase detonation, doing just the opposite as was intended?
