CO out of state tags

I'm headed to Steamboat in a few weeks and wondering where in Steamboat I can get out of state tags.

City Market used to carry them. But I do know that Steamboat Snowmobile Tours carries them at the base cabin on Rabbit Ears Pass.
If you are coming from the Boat the cabin is on the right approximately in the middle. It'll be your ONLY right hand off of Hwy 40, then turn onto a driveand go a few hundred yards. Park in the lot and walk to the cabin and ask the lady at the counter.

The steamboat welcome/chamber center accross the road from Mcdonalds or steamboat power sports (on the west end of town) both have them. I think the forest office next to the shell station also has them.

If you are coming in on I-70, I picked mine up at in Idaho Springs at the Forest Service station south of the interstate at the Mt Evans exit.

Note that should you order them online and print the confirmation page it states in bold that this receipt is not a valid registration. You will need the sticker to be 100% legal. It took me less than a week to get mine but be sure to allow time should you go that route.

the online registration gives you a temporary 60 day permit to print at the end of the registration process. its like 32 or 33 bucks, like cannonman said, its SUPER easy.

I think the 60 day permit is an in state thing. This was not an option for the out of state when I printed mine.
