CMX review

I have a small Mod shop in the Gorge White Salmon WA. I retired from a real job and now doing what I have always done for fun, Build high end sleds and bikes for the woods, for years have had numerous Sno bikes in the shop so I get to see the pro,s and cons and strong and week points and get to ride them as well. Not to bash any brand,I can say for certain the CMX is the real deal for a mountain machine, were not talking about something to handle high speed trails, the design is simply refined for technical mountain riding,It climbs to the surface easily with the Very flat approach angle and Yeti track and the skid pushed far forward lessens ski pressure significantly, Bar feedback is minimal, the skid and shox design does not buck and absorbs the bumps very well. They use Billet aluminum jackshafts and drive shafts with machined mounts for the Belt drive gears, no splines to work loose, it is truly a work of art the manner which this is put together, Very accurate C&C design, the chassis is not under stress and fitment is perfect. Its very light weight and strong, I had two concerns with the first CMX builds just as others had expressed, one was the foot room near the belt drive cover and the grab handle, I voiced myconcern to CMX and they have since resolved both these areas, the new belt drive cover adds 2 more inches foot room and the new grab handle is ergonomically correct, In my opinion the design is top of the field and the kit has been flawless, It rides extremely balanced and I find it easier to stand up ride than to sit which mimics my single track style. when standing ewe stay loose, centered and rider weight has lower center of gravity since weight is transferred to the pegs.I have the 129*on my shop build demo bike 2017 SX 450 factory edition. weighed in at 289lbs just after installing the kit including the Yeti spindle and ski. the 129 rides more nimble than other 120 kits due to the skid location and approach angle, The belt drive rolls freely and true and adds usable HP.I now sell CMX kits only because I want to sell the best setup available, If I felt something was actually better I would be selling them instead however they are at the top of the pack, Great job CMX!
